Lifelong learning and ongoing relationships

If you have just completed your degree, congratulations. If you are an existing alumnus/alumna, welcome. You are a member of our alumni community and we invite you to engage with the community and reap its benefits.  We want to ensure that the education and knowledge transfer does not stop once you have graduated.

Stay in touch

You can join the MBT LinkedIn group where you can keep in touch with otheralumni, lecturers and meet our current students. Not only does this provide you an opportunity to maintain and build your relationships in the industry but also to keep up to date with the latest industry content as posted by our members. You will also have access to invitations to MBT exclusive events. The group is closed and moderated to ensure all content and information is relevant to the needs of the MBT community. To join, please contact the group owner with the "Join Group" link provided on the Linkedin group page.

Continue your education

Unlike many post-graduate courses we provide alumni limited openings to attend new MBT subjects for free. This is a fantastic opportunity to keep your knowledge up to date and meet the new, up and coming students. Alumni who express interest will be provided the opportunity to sit with the current MBT cohort for the duration of a subject and refresh their management knowledge and skills. As a participating alumni, you can join in class discussions, mix with current students and be provided lecture materials. However, you cannot submit asessment tasks or gain credit for the subject. To take advantage of this opportunity, please contact Ken Dovey.

The MBT Board run a number of events during the year as a way to provide ongoing business education opportunities, as well as networking opportunities. Our events are open not only to the community but any affiliated networks such as the Sydney IT Managers Network. Video highlights of recent events can be viewed on our Youtube channel. Please check the Upcoming Events section for information on our event. We look forward to seeing you!

We also extend an invitation to alumni to become members of ourToastmasters Club. If you want to brush up on your public speaking and leadership skills, Toastmasters is a fantastic enviroment. The MBT has a well established Toastmasters club with over 40 members that meet on a fortnightly basis at UTS. Our club has won the President's Distinguished Club Award - the highest award available to Toastmasters clubs. Feel free to attend our next club meeting as a guest.
