Anthony Joseph, one of the MBT alumni, was a speaker at this year’s DjangoCon AU. DjangoCon AU is sixth annual gathering of Django developers in Australia, and held as a one day mini-conference at the start of PyCon AU: the national conference for the Python programming community, bringing together professional, student and enthusiast developers with a love for developing with Python.
He presented to an international audience on the fundamentals of geospatial analysis, using the advanced geospatial capabilities in Django in a real-world application and on related concepts including data sources, advanced geospatial technologies and developments in Australian geospatial analytical concepts.
Anthony commented that his MBT studies gave him the confidence and courage to present highly technical content, as well as the ability to deliver an entertaining and informative presentation to an engaged and diverse audience. The MBT community also instilled in Anthony the value of giving back to the community that gives so much to its participants. He commented that he was very privileged to get to speak alongside so many distinguished engineers and would encourage fellow engineers to share their knowledge with their peers.
