LITKE February 2017 – Last few spots remaining….!!!

Details of the Leadership Development Program

We have selected the morning of Thursday the 2nd of February 2017 as the date for our next half day Leadership Program. The feedback from our previous events has been overwhelmingly positive and in particular offered attendees both a rich learning opportunity and an immersive experience that demonstrated what a Master’s program like the MBT can offer. The program is delivered by the Director of the Master of Business and Technology, Associate Professor Ken Dovey.

Dr Ken Dovey has over 30 years’ experience in academic roles in South African and Australian universities, leading to professorial appointments in the area of strategic leadership. He has consulted to a wide range of global businesses, governments and non-profit organizations since 1981; work that sees him engaged as a leadership coach to senior executives. He lectures regularly on executive education programs at business schools around the world.

This Leadership program will be delivered over half a day and cover off topics of:
The Complexity of Leadership in the knowledge economy: This topic examines the complex nature of contemporary leadership and explores questions of: ‘what really matters?’; ‘who really matters?’; ‘what resources really matter?’ and ‘how power should be managed?’

Resources that Matter: This topic identifies the relationship-based resources really matter within the knowledge economy and, in particular, explores the role of social capital, morale capital and conceptual capital in successfully organisations.

Leadership Practices: This topic will look how particular leadership practices generate and leverage the resources that really matter in business success. This part of the program explicates the most important of these practices
