The 5th MBT Golf Day, held at the NSW Golf Club (see: http://www.nswgolfclub.com.au/cms/) on Tuesday 15th November 2016 was, like its forerunners, a great success. Huge congratulations to Rob Hanimyan, Stuart Penny and Phil Redding (and their team of helpers) for creating this wonderful experience for all who attended the event. As always, the organisation of the event was flawless, and the spirited communication over lunch, after playing the 18 holes of golf, among the people who attended, indicated that everyone had thoroughly enjoyed the golf and was thoroughly enjoying the day in general.
The purpose of the Golf Day is to enhance the MBT brand amongst executive leaders in business organisations. The money raised through sponsorships pays for the day (the prizes are very good!). This year there were eight major sponsors: NEC, GitHub, Capital Talent Consulting, 2DSearch, Bearena, West UC, TCS and Elabor8 and $43 000 was raised in cash.
86 executive leaders played golf on the day. They represent over 60 different organisations. A professional photographer was hired and photos from the day will soon be mounted in the Photo Gallery.
As with all MBT events, the event was initiated and managed by Board and Community members. In particular, three members of the MBT Board (Rob, Phil and Stuart) took full responsibility for its organisation and success. The time, energy and ideas that they have donated to the MBT, and indirectly to UTS, in doing so, sets a magnificent example for all MBT Board and Community members. So, let's honour them by emulating their commitment and passion for the MBT brand, and for our community who co-owns that brand!
